Early Photographic Work
Between 2006 and 2013, Gaza underwent major political and military upheaval. In 2007, Israel and Egypt imposed a blockade that severely restricted movement and goods. The period was marked by repeated escalations, including the 2008–2009 war and the 2012 offensive on Gaza, with cycles of Israeli airstrikes causing significant civilian casualties and destruction. Throughout these years, Gaza’s economy deteriorated, infrastructure weakened, and daily life was shaped by isolation and recurring conflict.
